The customer was from Malaysia and asked YEESHINE to make Plastic part prototype. Then the customer communicate with us about the details of the project.
Here we share with you the CNC machining process.
Basic part information:
Part size: 433*240*14mm
Part material: ABS
Color: Natural color
Tolerance: ±0.15mm
Lead time: 4-7 days
Surface finish: Smooth
Customers are worried about warping and deformation.
We replied to the customer that because the thickness of the product drawing is 10mm, it won't be deformed. We also sent pictures of similar projects to the customer for reference.
The customer is still worried about the concave hole being very deep, which might affect the plane. They used to separate the two pieces of production after gluing them together, resulting in a 2mm warpage.
Our engineers checked and the drawings show 1.5mm, which is not deformed. If the assembly allows, we recommend that the bottom of that groove be made to 2mm.
The customer originally wants to 3D printing to make.
We are suggesting to use the cnc process method.
Why would suddenly change the machining method?
If the previous production was done with 3D printing, don't try it again. If you follow the machining method, you can ensure that the deformation is minimal and the toughness of the machined ABS material is better, so if you want precision requirements, you should give priority to CNC machining.
What is the minimum deformation that can be ensured?
The deformation of machining is within 0.1mm.
Can this part of the drawing really be done to make the vertical angle?
The whole part is CNC milling, and it is OK to make the vertical angle. If the details are clearly stated, our engineering will arrange the machining process, manually clear the corner at that place, or punch round holes to cut off the extra material.
After confirming various details, the client was confident that we could meet their requirements. We made the product according to the customer's requirements, and the customer was satisfied when they received the CNC prototype plastic cover.
In our recent CNC plastic prototype project, we demonstrated patient communication and effective problem-solving to meet client needs. Utilizing advanced CNC equipment and our extensive production experience, we ensured high-quality results. We welcome everyone to contact us for inquiries and consultations about CNC machining plastic and metal parts, prototype plastic injection molding, and plastic rapid prototyping.
